I respectfully request your recognition of all family caregivers in America by honoring us with a United States Postage Stamp. Family caregiver responsibilities span endless hours and reach across all boundaries of ages, demographic and economic groups with almost everyone at some time in their lives either being a caregiver or needing a caregiver. Currently there are approximately 58 million family caregivers in the United States. Services provided by family caregivers represent over 80% of all long term care services with a market value conservatively valued at more than $375 billion. We are very proud to sponsor this U.S. Postage Stamp Campaign in honor of all the family caregivers in America. I respectfully request your recognition of all family caregivers in America with a United States Postal Stamp. Thank you kindly for your consideration.

We are very proud to announce our postage stamp petition campaign to you. The stamp will provide awareness and attention to America's family caregivers (approximately 58 million). Our campaign began nearly three years ago and has received over 6,000 signed petition letters to the US Postal Service toward the goal of one million. We are also proud that we received a letter from the U.S. Postal Service, Citizen Advisory Committee, (copy enclosed) telling us that the stamp is still under consideration and that the committee will make a decision in the fall of 2011. We would be honored if you would help us by supporting the campaign and we are excited to make this PUSH with your assistance to make this stamp a REALITY. On behalf of all family caregivers of America, we humbly ask your support in submitting the attached form letter to the U.S. Postal Service-Citizen Advisory Committee to produce a postage stamp recognizing and thanking family caregivers for their endless hours of love and care for their loved ones who unfortunately cannot care for themselves.

Let's recognize Family Caregivers on a US postage stamp together! The sooner we can send tens of thousands of petitions of interest to the US Postal Service, the sooner family caregivers will all be recognized nationwide in a colorful and meaningful way. Thank you.

One more way to help: click on the petition form below, print 10 sheets or however many you want. Ask your kids to have a contest with their friends at school, have prizes ready (i.e. make brownies or a gift card) for the one that has the most signatures on any given weekend. They can stand at the post office, the grocery store, the library, anywhere they can get signatures, date, city/state and that is all that is required.
This is nationwide so they can live anywhere, not just in Michigan.
