Project: Insure the Uninsured
There are currently over 46 million uninsured Americans today. The C.I.C. agrees this issue is a top priority in mending one of
the major problems in health care today. Through education, advocacy and awareness we can help to alleviate it. If you or

Cover the Uninsured Week is a nationwide week long event to provide awareness and outreach to the uninsured and
underinsured, visit the website for details, locations, etc.
The Chronic Illness Coalition has hosted several Insure the Uninsured events beginning at Cobo Hall in Detroit on May 4, 2006, over
400 people attended and 85 were enrolled into the MI Medicaid program.
Since then, the CIC's Project: Insure the Uninsured visited The Waterford Senior Center, The Redford Senior Center, Gethsemane
Missionary Baptist Church in Westland and The Plymouth Church of Detroit.
